Our Attention To Detail Butcher

When did you start butchering?
I started with Alstonville Quality Meats as a school based apprentice and finished my trade 2012

Where else have you worked?
I’ve worked alongside my father, but other than that this is the only place I have worked.

Tell us a bit about your family.
My Dad (Gary), Mum (Rebecca), Brother (Dane), and Sister (Jess)

Bull Riding and Fishing!

What is your favourite food?
Mexican and the good old steak and veg!

What do you love about Alstonville?
I love the fact that most people know each other and get along well.

Have you ever travelled?
I received a scholarship in Bull Riding where I moved to Snyder West Texas. Whilst I was in America I also visited Canada. I love the fact that bull riding allows me to see many new places throughout Australia and abroad. I returned home to Alstonville 2013 and re-commenced my butcher career with Alstonville Quality Meats.

Tell us a bit about you and Alstonville Quality Meats?
I started my Trade with Danny and completed with Ashley after Danny sold the butchery. Ashley signed me off early prior to moving to America where I attended College and rode Bulls for the Texas College Rodeo. When I decided to move back home to Alstonville I was lucky enough to pick up a vacant position that was available at Alstonville Quality Meats where I started exactly where I left off. I love coming up with new and innovative products for our window display, and after attending the State Sausage King Awards Weekend this year 2015, I am excited to be a part the invention of some new exciting flavoured sausages and butchers burgers, so that we can continue attending these weekends for many years to come.
